The Snyder Fire District is located within the Town of
Amherst, a first ring suburb of the City of Buffalo, New York. It is a suburban community,
approximately 6 square miles in size with a population of 19,498 people.
While considered a residential community there is a substantial quantity of commercial
development. Operations are carried out from one central station that houses all the
apparatus and administrative offices.
