Brooklane Fire

9/19/2005 – 125 Brooklane Drive

This early morning fire was the result of a defective dishwater motor and result in extensive damage to the kitchen. Snyder Firefighters were alerted after a neighbor discovered smoke coming from the roof. The homeowner had left the home a short time earlier. Damage was listed at $100,000.

McDonalds Fire

8/27/2005 – 1970 Kensington Avenue – McDonalds Restaurant

A potentially dangerous basement fire was encountered by Snyder Firefighters after a McDonalds employee discovered this fire on the afternoon on August 27, 2005. With the aid of a thermal imaging camera, firefighters quickly located and extinguished the blaze, which was suspicious in nature. The fire resulted in the demolition of the building and a new McDonalds Restaurant was constructed.
