Just before 8:30 PM the Snyder Fire Department along with firefighters from Eggertsville Hose Company, Williamsville Fire Department, and Getzville Fire Company responded to a report of a structure fire on Woodbury Dr. Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly and found “Smoke Showing” from the house with a well-involved attic fire. Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the fire. Additionally, Main-Transit Fire Department responded as additional resources, and the Cleveland Hill Fire Department responded to the Snyder Firehouse to stand by and cover the Snyder District. Damage was listed at $600,000 total. The fire is still under investigation by the Town of Amherst Fire Safety Division. One firefighter was taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban for minor injuries.
